Whittier Community Foundation Meeting
Parks, Recreation & Community Services - Community Services
The Whittier Community Foundation's mission is to support the community services activities for the education and enjoyment of the greater Whittier Community and to develop funding for new community services programs. Next meeting at the Whittier Police Station Community room, 13200 Penn Street, Whittier, CA at 8:30 am.

Disability-related aids or services are available to enable persons with a disability to participate in this meeting, consistent with the federal Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.  Should you require special accommodations to participate in the meeting due to a disability, please contact the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Office at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting at 562-567-9400.

Veterans and their families are welcome to drop in. Volunteers (trained by CalVet) are on-hand to answer basic questions about benefits, provide referrals and help with job searching, and more. Open Monday - Thursday 10am-2pm, Friday 10am-5pm. Located in the Mezzanine.

Boards & Commissions - Meetings

The Planning Commission consists of five members who advise the City Council concerning the General Plan; make recommendations to the City Council on subdivisions, zoning, and land use matters; and hear requests for zone changes, variances, conditional use permits and development review applications. Conal McNamara, Director of Community Development, serves as the Secretary for the Planning Commission. Meets the first and third Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber in City Hall.
