During the early morning hours of June 28, 2015, the Whittier Police Department was contacted by homeowners in the 5400 block of Adele Avenue, who expressed concerns over receiving KKK Propaganda.

As motorcycle fatalities and injuries have increased in California, the law enforcement and the Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) have stepped up their efforts to promote safety and education, highlighted by Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month in May.

Drug Take Back Events Cancelled By DEA
Over the past four years the DEA has offered the “Prescription Drug Take Back” program. This was very successful and thousands of pounds of unused, unwanted or expired prescription drugs were collected and destroyed by the DEA.

Whittier Police Arrest Armed Crime Spree Suspect
On June 20, 2015 at approximately 1:00 am, Whittier Police responded to the 6300 block of Whittier Avenue in regards to an assault with a deadly weapon.

DUI/Driver’s License Checkpoint Planned this Weekend
Whittier, CA – The Whittier Police Department Traffic Unit, part of the Los Angeles County Avoid DUI Task Force, will be conducting a DUI/Driver’s License Checkpoint on 06/19/15, at an undisclosed location within the city limits between the hours of 7:30pm – 3:00 am.
