Bicycle Safety Traffic Enforcement Operations Planned for Whittier
Whittier Police Department will step up bicycle safety enforcement operations on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, with focused enforcement on collision-causing factors involving motorists and bike riders. Special patrols will be deployed to crack down on drivers and bicyclists who violate traffic laws meant to protect all roadway users.

Attempt Kidnapping Failed
Today at approximately 5:20pm, Whittier officers were called regarding an attempted kidnapping of a 12-year-old girl at 14359 Second Street (Oceanview Elementary).
