Temporary Water Restrictions Due To Drought Conditions
August 28, 2014  Temporary water restrictions are now in place throughout Whittier as a result of Governor Brown declaring a drought state of emergency and the California State Water Resources Control Board adopting emergency regulations for statewide water conservation.

9th National Drug Take Back
September 16, 2014  On Saturday September 27, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the Whittier Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public its ninth opportunity in four years to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. Bring your medications for disposal to Whittier City Hall located at 13230 Penn St., Whittier, California. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
