Non-Residential Historic Resources Survey Meeting

The City of Whittier recently completed a city-wide, non-residential, historic resources survey from the earliest settlement of Whittier through 1967. The survey was conducted by GPA, Consulting who meets the U.S. Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualifications in history and architectural history. The completed survey can be reviewed by clicking here. On August 5, 2015, a public outreach meeting was held on the findings of the survey. On Wednesday, August 26, 2015, the Whittier Historic Resources Commission conducted a public hearing to review and consider the June 2015 City-wide Non-Residential Historic Resource Survey and make a non-binding recommendation to the City Council concerning the findings and recommendations contained within the Survey report. The Historic Resources Commission continued the open public hearing for both Certificate of Appropriateness 15-017(A) and Certificate of Appropriateness 15-017(B) to February 10, 2016.
