Posted On: September 16, 2013
In the early morning hours of December 18th, 2011, Frankie Monet Garcia was brutally murdered. The murder took place in the 8800 block of Villa Drive in the City of Whittier.
Prior to her murder, Frankie was in the area of Danbrook Drive and Greenleaf Avenue with several companions. An argument erupted between two rival criminal street gangs. Frankie, a non-participant in either of the street gangs, feared for her safety and attempted to run from the scene.
Frankie ran towards the area of Villa Drive and Foxley Drive when she was confronted by the gang members. After words were exchanged, Frankie was shot in the torso with a 12 gauge shotgun. She was transported to a local hospital where she passed away as a result of her injuries.
