"The City of Whittier, in partnership with Athens Services, will host the 2026 Compost Giveaway on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Whittier Public Parking Lot located at 12813 Bailey Street. This event provides residents with an opportunity to receive free compost while supplies last. The event is open to Whittier residents only and will be conducted as a drive-up service to ensure efficiency and safety.
