WHITTIER, Calif. – The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health issued its "Safer at Work & in the Community" Health Order allowing for the resumption of faith-based services and in-store retail shopping, the reopening of hair salons and barber shops, and restaurants offering socially-distanced dine-in service. Household Hazardous Waste and E-waste Collection Event

The event is sponsored by the City of Whittier and Athens Services for Whittier residents.

Household Hazardous Waste includes paint, solvents, pesticides, care and household batteries, fluorescent light bulbs, pool chemicals, cleaners, oil, and other hazardous materials.

E-waste applies to consumer electronic equipment that is no longer wanted. E-waste can include computers, printers, televisions, VCRs, cell phones, fax machines, stereos, electronic games, and more.
