Whittier Named Finalist for Most Business-Friendly City by LAEDC
The City of Whittier are pleased to announce that the Los Angeles Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC) has named Whittier as a finalist for the 2018 Most Business-Friendly City Award, according to a press release issued by the LAEDC on Friday, September 07, 2018. Whittier previously won this prestigious award in 2012.
This year, Whittier is a finalist in the 50,000 or more population category, alongside two other finalists: the City of Inglewood and the City of Rosemead. Cities recognized in the 50,000 and under category include Azusa, Duarte, Monrovia, San Gabriel and Santa Fe Springs. Winners from both categories will be announced at the 23rd Annual EDDY Awards on November 8th.
The City of Whittier is proud of this recognition, which acknowledges our dedication to fostering a business-friendly atmosphere and highlights our efforts to provide assistance and resources to local businesses, both big and small, through our programs and partnerships within the community.
