City Publishes FAQs on Eviction Moratorium
The City of Whittier has issued an informational Frequently Asked Questions sheet regarding the temporary moratorium on residential and commercial evictions. The FAQs document is intended to assist landlords and tenants with understanding their rights and refers to Ordinance No. 3115 signed on March 24, 2020. Also included is a checklist and sample letter for tenants to utilize moving forward.
Similarly, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors adopted an eviction moratorium on April 14 that includes incorporated cities and therefore supersedes the City’s ordinance; view the press release here.
