The Whittier Police Department's Support Services Division manages vital services to both police operations and the general public.
The Support Services Division is comprised of the Records Bureau, 911 Dispatch Communications Center, Property and Evidence, and budget oversight.
The division also works closely with City of Whittier Information Technology personnel to maintain the large electronic infrastructure that supports police operations in Whittier and Santa Fe Springs. This includes a comprehensive records management and computer aided dispatching system, on board mobile computer system in all police vehicles, livescan electronic fingerprinting system, and all office computing systems.
The Support Services Division operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, staffing communications and records functions around the clock. This allows for continuous support to patrol and investigation activities.
