The Whittier City Council has appointed a Legislative Ad Hoc committee to monitor State legislation related to the City’s adopted legislative platform. The Ad Hoc Members are Mayor Vinatieri and Council Member Martinez. Within the principles of the City Council’s legislative platform, the Ad Hoc’s highest priorities are public safety legislation and land use legislation. Legislation is reviewed by staff and the ad hoc, and positions on specific bills are articulated in letters sent to the legislature.
